Easy Chicken Biryani

Definitely a classic South Asian dish, this recipe has a little kick but is a firm family favourite.

Ingredients

300g Basmalti Rice
4 Chicken Breast Diced
800ml Chicken Stock
1 Large Onion Diced
2 tbsp Curry Powder
½ tsp Tumeric
1 tsp Cumin
Salt & Pepper
Frylight

Method

1. Spray a saucepan with frylight, and fry your onion until soft.

2. Add the chicken, spices, and salt & pepper until the chicken is browned.

3. Add the rice & fry for 2 minutes.

4. Add the stock, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the rice is soft.

5. Serve with your choice of sides, I’ve gone with steamed vegetables.
